Summarize your thoughts on the kits we looked at and email them to me.
Utilizing listed resources and other resources you are aware of in the community, classroom or online, compile those which you'd like to include in the kit (as an activity, book, resource, whole or in-part), have a similar one in the kit and think should not go in the kit. State why or why not the item should be included or excluded or developed. Do not restrict yourself to the web, go to local organziations, bookstores, educational settings, toy stores and teachers in your school and community. |

Based on the assignment of topics to be covered with materials in the kit; start to compile available materials related to the components (see 10/5 below) of the kit for informal presentation at the next class. Additional time will be given to continue this task during class.
Previously listed resources have been auggmented with additional websites realted specifically to topics we identified and assigned in class on 9/21.

Fine-tune, complete and compile (on paper) a plan identifying the components (below) of the kit for your topic assigned. Email me this plan before next week's class. Also, bring suggested component materials for our newly added topic (Monitoring/Research and Careers).

Get copies of or links to the materials we have determined to include to Jenn. If there are texts cited as resources get the name of it and author to her and bring it to the next class. If you have submitted an activity without a source please get the source to Jenn too. |

Alaskan-ize and complete activities, background, list of materials that need to be in the kit, plans for scripted presentations and lists or additional resources (components) for each of your topics. Get everything for your topic the as complete as possible. |
11/2 |
Complete Alaskanization and activities using the emailed format as a guide (add to or do not use headings as needed). Correalte to Alaska Standards from the top section of the standards accessible at http://www.eed.state.ak.us/tls/assessment/GLEHome.html. Email complete topic material(s) as soon as possible. |
