Compile useful known materials and familiarize with new resources, materials and activities (show and tell) Categorize materials based on topic, usefulness, grade level, and ease in ability to execute activities and relevance to volcano kit. Begin compilation of resource lists (books, web, other…) Generate a list of goals, a plan, for our kit to determine the need for each resource.
9/28

We will meet at the regular time and have class tonight at the UAA Consortium Library in the ARLIS Conference Room, #114. We will have access to the library's collections and may use their internet accessible workstations on an individual basis. We must adhere to UAA's Library Computing and Electronic Resources Acceptable Use Policy. There is no wireless internet accessible to non-UAA staff, faculty and students.

An UAA campus map is available as a PDF online. On that map the library is building # 24 and is at the corner of Providence Drive, Alumni Loop and an entrance into Providence Hospital (3211 Providence Drive). Once you have entered the UAA Consortium Library continue through the turnstiles/metal detectors until you reach the ARLIS section on the left. Once in the ARLIS section, continue through the section, on the left side, past the map room and offices to the Conference Room, # 114.

There is specific information regarding UAA Visitor Parking and related fees. You may park at the USGS Alaska Science Center (where you would normally for class) and walk via a trail over to UAA if you'd like, it takes about 15 minutes. The trail begins at the driveway of the offices of KSKA/KAKM near the APU log at the intersection of Bragaw, Providence Drive and University Drive.
