1983 Veniaminof eruption video
Gentlemen....
I was the chief news photog at Kimo News 13 in Anchorage back in the early 80's. I found this footage from 1983 I shot for ABC World News Tonight and have posted it on my youtube channel...thought you might want to check it out. To check out the clip go to www.youtube.com/bellamyvideo and look in my movies section for Alaska Mount Veniaminof Volcano 1983. PS...I've really enjoyed checking out your site...lots of great info and pictures...It really caught my attention all the glacier ice and snow that has melted from Veniaminof's caldera since 83.

Take Care,

David Bellamy
Director/Cameraman/Editor

Hello David - Thank you for directing us to your video - the glowing lava is pretty dramatic, and, as you noted, the contrasting ice volumes are striking.
