1986 Pavlof eruption memories
Greetings,

I'm enjoying your coverage of the latest eruption of Pavlof. I spent 1986 in Cold Bay with the National Weather Service. I remember the April 1986 eruption well. I was depressed and the sulphurous smelling ash deposits all over town was just icing on the cake. smile.

I have a few photos of Pavlof and some of the ash deposits from that eruption. Is this something you'd be interested in having for your archives? Just curious.

Best regards,
Steve Davis

Hello Steve - We would certainly be very interested in your photographs, and I'm checking with our tephra person about the ash.
