Clear wintertime view of Iliamna Volcano from ASTER 15 meter visible-near infrared channels. ASTER (Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer)is a Japanese imager on the NASA Terra satellite. ASTER is one of the many remote sensing data sets that AVO scientists use for volcano research and monitoring.
