Lava from Bogoslof Hill flows around Crater Hill, a complex eruptive center located on west central St. Paul Island. Crater Hill has a large, deep crater and a sharp and ragged cone rim that gives it a distinctive morphology and silhouette, compared to other volcanoes on the island.
