ALASKA VOLCANO OBSERVATORY CURRENT STATUS REPORT
Saturday, July 4, 2009 11:31 AM (Saturday, July 4, 2009 19:31 UTC)

REDOUBT VOLCANO (CAVW #1103-03-)
60°29'7" N 152°44'38" W, Summit Elevation 10197 ft (3108 m)
Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW
Current Volcano Alert Level: ADVISORY

No significant change has been observed at Redoubt in the last 24 hours. Seismicity at the volcano continues slightly above background level. Clear webcam views today show continued steaming from the lava dome. The lava dome remains potentially unstable. Collapse of the dome would likely result in high-level ash production, hot lava block and ash flows, and possible flooding in the Drift River valley.

AVO will continue to monitor Redoubt's activity closely, but will begin to transition off of 24/7 staffing.

CLEVELAND VOLCANO (CAVW #1101-24-)
52°49'20" N 169°56'42" W, Summit Elevation 5676 ft (1730 m)
Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW
Current Volcano Alert Level: ADVISORY

AVO has observed no further activity at Cleveland since the small eruption on June 25. Recent satellite and web camera views of the volcano have been obscured by clouds.
