Hypocrystalline, vesicular sample of Dome C (1964 dome). Phenocrysts of plagioclase, hypersthene, augite, and minor olivine and Fe-Ti oxides in a glassy groundmass containing sparse plagioclase microlites. Crystal clots of plagioclase, pyroxenes, and Fe-Ti oxides are common and groundmass glass exhibits flow textures.
