Text Description:
Porphyritic plagioclase-orthopyroxene-clinopyroxene dacite (S; high-silica andesite G) flow. Weakly foliated phenocrysts of plagioclase (An 58) in a glassy groundmass. Grain boundaries and fractures in some clinopyroxene are altered to opaque minerals. Larger phenocrysts are fractured and shattered. Rare lithic (?) fragments. Rounded quartz phenocrysts in reaction relation with groundmass.
