Description
Volynets and others (1994) describe these submarine peaks, ~24 miles northwest of Amukta, as eroded volcanic cones, and state that they seem to be of Pleistocene age. Dredge samples of these peaks (V38-20, -21, and -23) returned basalt, in addition to possibly exotic andesite, granite, metasedimentary and sedimentary rocks.
