Current Volcano Alert Level: ADVISORY
Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW

The rate of shallow, small earthquakes at Redoubt Volcano decreased markedly yesterday and remains low. The Aviation Color Code remains YELLOW and the Volcano Alert Level remains ADVISORY.

Two AVO field crews are conducting work at the volcano today. An overflight will be making gas measurements and visual observations of the lava dome. A helicopter crew will be cleaning windows of the web cameras, taking visual observations of the lava dome, and conducting minor maintenance.

AVO continues to monitor the volcano closely.
