IMAGE 116131
AVO Image

Photograph of an outward-facing cliff on southern Kasatochi. Note vegetation that has sprouted from pre-2008-eruption turf. The dike, center, was offset during soft-sediment deformation of surrounding clastic deposits that were presumably emplaced in a subglacial cauldron. See http://doi.org/10.14509/29718 for additional details.
