Makushin Volcano: summit observation and gas measurement flight, August 16th, 2019. Vigorous fumaroles in the vicinity of the summit crater emit sulfur rich volcanic gases, and a low plume drifts off to the north. Heat from the volcano melts depressions, holes and caves in the glacial ice.
