Video of infrasound spectrogram (top) and data (bottom), from the eruption of Mount Veniaminof on 24 March 2021, as recorded on a station at Chignik Lagoon. The soundtrack was derived from the infrasound datastream by mapping the subaudible infrasound signal into the range of human hearing. In this track of 1 hr of data, you can hear numerous short-duration explosions that repeat every 30-60 seconds. These explosions also produced audible sounds heard in local communities.
