View east through The Gates of Aniakchak.  Image taken following the 2010 breakout flood of the large maar crater located along the east wall of the caldera.  The outwash fan was swept and up to 1.5 m of coarse sand and gravel deposited.  The Aniakchak River channel and flood plain were affected for at least 20 km downstream.  Compare with image 10534.
