Text Description:
Discontinuous bed ranging from 2 to 10 cm thick. Occurs in pods that are interbedded with banded to platy, grey to brown silt with oxidation stringers and bands. Faint lamination in the darker, basal part of the tephra. Upper and lower contacts are sharp although there is localized interdigitation with loess. Oxidatation common.
