Text Description: PAL tephra is generally found below a peat; however, organic-rich silt and peat deposits also occurred below it at several sites. Primary beds of PAL tephra are 2-5 cm thick, however, reworked PAL tephra can be up to 10-20 cm thick. Diverse glass morphology, including tricuspate and bubble-walled shards, and blocky to frothy pumice. References: ![]() |
