Text Description:
The composition reported here is the average of analyses of two samples: UT1280 and UT1281. Occurs at elevations of 1-2 m above water level at west and east limits of Palisades East, but ~14 m above water level in the central bluff area. Occurs stratigraphically below the lower peat and is laterally more traceable than PA tephra samples.

Palisades_East	65.1	-153.24997	Matheus, Paul					Eight-km section of bluff along the Yukon River, 55 km downstream from the village of Tanana, in the Nowitna Wildlife Refuge. The bluff is comprised mostly of perennially frozen silts, with the tallest sections being approximately 75 m high. Coordinates provided as degrees/minutes and converted to decimal degrees; datum not specified, assumed to be WGS84.	The composition reported here is the average of analyses of two samples: UT1280 and UT1281.
