Sample taken at site A of Chi'ijee's Bluff. Tephra is traceable across almost the entire exposure as a bed of variable thickness, but with a maximum thickness of 11 cm. Bed undulates with up to 90 cm of relief. Occurs within grey to light-brown massive to crudely laminated silt with locally organic-rich lenses.

Chi'ijee's_Bluff67.48333333-139.9333333Reyes, A. V. 124000 ± 10000 known unit; 10271; Age is approximate. Revised glass fission-track age with re-calibration reported in Preece and others (2011); four Old Crow Tephra sample glass fission-track ages (UT1434, UT613, UT501, UT613).Four-km-long river exposure on the south bank of the Porcupine River in northern Yukon Territory, Canada. Approximately fifteen km downstream from the village of Old Crow. The bluff is comprised of middle Pliocene to latest Pleistocene alluvial and lacustrine sediments and is in the continuous permafrost zone, with permafrost about 60 m deep and active layer depths of 40-60 cm. Sites A, B, and C visited, see Figure 1d of Reyes and others (2010). Location coordinates provided as degrees/minutes/seconds in Reyes and others (2010) and converted to decimal degrees. Datum not provided, assumed to be NAD83. Sample taken at site A of Chi'ijee's Bluff.
