Cabin_Lake | 60.5 | -145.39998 | Unknown, Unknown | 647 ± 55 14C; 8851; Age is approximate. Age model derived from eight radiocarbon ages obtained from core 10-CB-1C and ten from 11-CB-4. Radiocarbon ages were calibrated to calendar years before AD 1950 (cal a BP) using calib v6.0 with the INTCAL09 calibration curve (Stuiver and Reimer, 1993). The program clam.r v2 was used to create a smoothed spline (smooth=0.4) fit for the age | Cabin Lake is a small, shallow lake (0.1 km square; 4.8 m in depth) located at the base of the Chugach Mountains at an elevation of 40 m asl. The lake is about 16 km east of Cordova, Alaska, in the eastern Prince William Sound, and 5 km west of the terminus of Sheridan Glacier. It is located on the northern edge of the present-day outwash plain of Sheridan Glacier and does not currently receive meltwater from the glacier. Location imprecisely georeferenced from Figure 1 of Zander and others (2013). | Sample 10-CB-1C 102, IGSN: BOF000005.
