Column_Point57.9-136.29998Unknown, Unknown< 14455 14C; 11151; Depth sequenced age using a Bayesian statistical phase model built from six radiocarbon age determinations.A 40-cm-long monolith collected from a nearly flat expanse of peat near the level of mean low water on an exposed beach facing the open Gulf of alaska at Column Point, Chichagof Island. The monolith, approximately 400X150X150 mm, is bounded at the top by a thick tephra bed and at the base by a thin gravel layer. Five macro tephra layers were identified by visual inspection of lighter-coloured beds and number UA1674-1678 from base to top. Coordinates not provided, generic location selected on Chichagof Island, Alaska. Large chunky pumice, with thick walls and some bubble wall shards.
