Column_Point | 57.9 | -136.29998 | Unknown, Unknown | A 40-cm-long monolith collected from a nearly flat expanse of peat near the level of mean low water on an exposed beach facing the open Gulf of alaska at Column Point, Chichagof Island. The monolith, approximately 400X150X150 mm, is bounded at the top by a thick tephra bed and at the base by a thin gravel layer. Five macro tephra layers were identified by visual inspection of lighter-coloured beds and number UA1674-1678 from base to top.
