Kiska sample collected by Memorial University (St. Johns, NL, CA) ornithology group. Bag label is Sirius Point. px. Irregular voids filled rimmed by rust-red gms. Glass threads not seen. Rock has same dry, abrasive, granular feel as "cinder block" from Augustine '06. This must have been a barely mobile xl mush. It would be interesting to see glass composition.>

Bag label is Sirius Point. <Hand sample description: Extremely xl-rich andesite. Pl is nearly half the rock, including void space -- so pl/(xls+dense gms) must be over half. Xls 1-4mm, with fairly even size grading. Pl>px. Irregular voids filled rimmed by rust-red gms. Glass threads not seen. Rock has same dry, abrasive, granular feel as "cinder block" from Augustine '06. This must have been a barely mobile xl mush.
