Text Description:
Ash fall at Seldovia commencing at about 1700 AST from the explosion of Augustine volcano on January 23, 1976. This ash was relatively coarse compared with the first ash fall. The andesitic bulk chemical composition reflects the high pyroxene content (about 60 percent by volume) of the ash and the presence of andesitic fragments.
