SAMPLE INFO : 80cnd03
Sample ID:80cnd03
Station ID:80cnd03
Latitude:62.1218
Longitude:-144.3634
Datum:NAD83
Date Sampled:1980-01-01
Sample Type 1:Lava
Text Description:
SG - Sanford Gl area- of Nye (1983). These andesites, by virtue of their geographic position, may have been derived from Mt. Zanetti. If so, Mt. Zanetti represents essentially a monogenetic vent of roughly the volume of Mt. St. Helens.

80cnd0362.1218-144.3634Nye, C. J.1980-01-01 WrangellThese flows were collected from cliffs bordering the ground moraine of a retreating, unnamed, glacier south of the Sanford Glacier. These flows span 700 m of continous stratigraphic section with no apparent time break, except for a weathering surface immediately above 80cnd01. Individual samples are no closer than every other flow, and in many cases 3-4 flows may be spanned between individuals.SG - Sanford Gl area- of Nye (1983).
