Text Description: Similar to Y-8; poorly-sorted sandy matrix with some clay; clasts are mostly thoroughly hydrothermally altered dacite and Fe-encrusted sand, granules, and lava clasts. Some ferrocreted sediment-agglutinate clasts. There is enough clay in the deposit to stick it together in clumps. Exposed thickness 2-3 m. typical ML = 20 cm. References: ![]() |
