Text Description:
Sample is from a rubbly flow outcrop on the south-west end of Tanada Lake. Fine grained, vesicular, holocrystalline, glomeroporphyritic with a matrix of cryptocrystalline material, plagioclase, opaque and a high relief mineral. Plagioclase phenocrysts are up to 3.37 mm and frequently have rounded edges, oscillatory zoning, and/or normal zoning. Opaque pseudomorphs after clinopyroxene? are up to 1.75 mm. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.1 mm. Opaque phenocrysts (not pseudomorphs) are up to 0.25 mm. 96.5% matrix, 3.3% plagioclase, 0.2% alteration.
