Sample from interior of a weathered, ~1m conchoidally fractured block within a ~5m-thick block and ash flow unit. Abundant 1mm plag and pyx; some cpx(?) to 2mm. Unit is black and red and stands out in slope face, contrasting to the ~30m of overlying till.
