Text Description:
Massive (220') flow of basaltic andesite. Sampled just below the oxidized layer which marks the upper boundary of the flow. Steel blue groundmass with orange weathering of 1-2 mm phenocrysts of an unidentified ferromagnesian mineral. Rare 1-2 mm acicular plagioclase phenocrysts.
