Description: From Snyder (1953): "On March 2 [1953] Richard McDonald, U.S. Geological Survey seismologist stationed at Adak, rode a Navy plane from Kodiak to Adak and back. He reported steam rising from Pavlof, Shishaldin, Makushin, and a small cone within Okmok Caldera on this day."
