Photograph of the northwest shore of Kasatochi.  Tundering talus, below the main cliff, was the site of a major auklet nesting colony that was covered by 2008 eruption deposits, making the nesting burrows unavailable.  Subsequent to the eruption a new talus above Whiskey cove formed and was colonized by the displaced auklets.
