Video of infrasound spectrogram (top) and data (bottom), from the eruption of Semisopochnoi on 20 September 2021, as recorded on station CEPE on Semisopochnoi Island. The soundtrack was derived from the infrasound datastream by mapping the subaudible infrasound signal into the range of human hearing. In this clip, you can hear two eruption sequences. Each sequence lasts a couple hours, contains multiple explosions and sustained jetting, and produced small ash plumes.
