GOES-18 false color multispectral satellite image showing resuspended ash (salmon pink cloud drifting southeast from the Alaska Peninsula over Kodiak Island) from the 1912 Novarupta-Katmai eruption. Satellite image product provided by the Regional and Mesoscale Meteorology Branch (RAMMB) at the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) at Colorado State University.
