False color short-wave infrared (SWIR, pansharpened) satellite image of Great Sitkin showing the ongoing lava flow within the summit crater. Warm areas near the vent and in places near the flow margin are red. Black, snow-free areas on the east side of the flow indicate areas of recent flow growth. In this image snow is blue and clouds and steam emissions are white.
