Installation of AVO's new seismic and GNSS network at Mt. Edgecumbe volcano, August 20-29 2023. AVO field technician Max Kaufman and UAF Geodesy professor Ronni Grapenthin construct a new GNSS antenna monument at site EDCR on Crater Ridge. 12 ft long by 1" stainless steel rods are driven 7 ft into the ground, and welded together at the top. Mt Edgecumbe sits in the background with a nice lenticular cloud cap.
