Bear Lake flying in from the west. Bear Lake is ~35 km east of Redoubt Volcano and was cored in 1979 (Ager and Riehle) and 2005 (Wallace, Werner, Schiff) to recover volcanic ash from Cook Inlet volcanoes and study pollen history to reconstruct vegetation history.
